Mark Smith - 1972 Titan Mk6
Mark Smith from Sun Valley, Idaho has returned to road racing after a 30 year break from the sport. Smith won the 1989 Formula Super Vee Championship, a series that helped propel Arie Luyendyk, Al Unser Jr. and Michael Andretti to Indy Car. From 1990 to 1994, Smith raced on the Indy Car circuit. He was the 1990 Indy Lights Rookie of the year and finished 2nd in the 1991 Indy Lights Championship. In 1993 Smith graduated to Indy Cars with Arciero Racing. He competed in the premiere class for two seasons with a best finish of 5th place at the Michigan 500. Smith is racing in the Emerald Cup Championship with a 1972 Titan MK6.
